Your data is yours. We never sell it, never share it for marketing, and you can export or delete it anytime from Settings.
1 What We Collect
When you use UPSC Study Tracker, we collect only what's necessary:
- Email address — required for account creation
- Name — optional, for personalization
- Password — securely hashed, never stored in plain text
- Study data — sessions, syllabus, notes, tasks, goals you enter
- Payment info — only order/payment IDs from Razorpay (no card details)
2 How We Use It
We use your information only to:
- Provide the study tracking service
- Authenticate your account and secure your session
- Save and sync your data across devices
- Process payments and manage subscriptions
- Send password reset emails when requested
🚫 We never sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with other users.
3 Storage & Security
Your data is stored on Supabase — a secure, enterprise-grade platform. We use:
- Row Level Security — you can only access your own data
- HTTPS encryption — all traffic encrypted end-to-end
- Encrypted storage — data encrypted at rest
- Secure authentication — industry-standard JWT tokens
4 Payments
All payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive only order IDs, payment IDs, and status. We do not have access to your card, UPI, or bank credentials.
5 Cookies & Local Storage
We use minimal client-side storage:
- Session tokens — to keep you logged in
- Theme preference — dark/light mode
- Timer state — to persist running timers across refreshes
🍪 We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Ever.
6 Your Rights
- Access your data — export as JSON from Settings
- Correct your data — edit anytime in the app
- Delete your data — delete account from Settings
All data is permanently removed within 30 days of account deletion.
7 Children's Privacy
UPSC Study Tracker is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
8 Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date will change and material changes will be announced in-app.
